About us - a quick introduction

Marjolijn was born (in the lovely year of 1978) and bred in the little village of Eenrum, The Netherlands, aprox 20 km of the city Groningen James was also born in the lovely year of 1978 in Pembury Hospital, England. Raised in the little village of Burwash, East Sussex, aprox 20 miles from the town Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent

Marjolijn and James met in Boca Raton,Florida in summer of 2000, whilst both working for Camp America on the camp Pine Tree Camp. After the Camp we lived in Groningen Netherlands for a short while before moving to Tunbridge Wells, England where we lived for 2 years saving up for our big trip. (During which we both worked at Pine Tree Camp again in the summer of 2001) In november 2002 we had saved enough money and left on our 2 year trip. We flew to LA for a day, holidayed in The Cook Islands for 2 weeks, then flew to Fiji to celebrate x-mas on the beach. New Years we celebrated in New Zealand and travelled around New Zealand for 10 months. In september 2003 we flew to Australia where we travelled around for a year. In september 2004 we flew from Australia to Singapore , we traveled up to Malaysia and did a diving course in Koh Tao, Thailand). Here we parted ways, James went on to travel to Cambodia and Vietnam, and Marjolijn stayed in Thailand, mainly working on Koh Phi Phi. In Laos we met up again and travelled down to Northern Thailand back to Koh Phi Phi, from there to Bangkok, from where we went to our homes/families for Christmas 2004 (JUST missing the Tsunami by 2 days) Since then we have each been living in our own countries, close to our family and friends. and seeing eachother every 5 weeks or so.

Where are we NOW plus what are we up to

Marjolijn is currently working as a flight attendant for a Dutch Airline and living in Amsterdam with best friend Marije. It's sure is a lot of fun in Amsterdam!	James is currently back in the UK, in Burwash/Tunbridge Wells,doing temporary work until november when Marjolijn finishes her seasonal contract with the Dutch Airline

What are our plans for the near future

As many of you may know, we were planning to emigrate to Australia and James went there from march til june. This didn't really work out the way we planned, we tried a few different options but it wasn't to be, the emigration is off. However, we are not letting this get us down, we are going to live in the UK from november for a year or so, get some money behind us so we can go travelling around Europe!
